Additional Info: Retired amateur bassoonist. Need an excuse to get back into chamber music playing and orchestral work. Embouchure needs exercising. Took 5th grade bassoon in UK. Played in Cowley Community Centre Orchestra and Oxford Holiday Orchestra, UK, then returned to Melbourne, Australia where I taught bassoon and played in scratch orchestras for G & S Society and others. Studied under Max Neil (Elizabethan Trust Orchestra) for 3 years and was 2nd bassoonist (to Jim Stockigt) in Astra Chamber Orchestra, Melbourne, Australia. Early member of the International Double Reed Society (IDRS). Moved to Montreal and played chamber music with friends for pleasure. Now live in Kununurra in the Kimberley region of far NW of Western Australia. Only public playing was for a Spicks and Specks night 3 years ago ! Desperately need an excuse to play with others again. If anyone is visitng the Kimberely, WA they are more than welcome to contact me to see what can be arranged. But I need advance warning so I can get the reed out and work on that embouchure. My current favourite bassoonist is the Scottish rising start, Karen Geoghegan (CHAN 10703, CHAN 10477 and CHAN and CHAN 10613).
Additional Specialisms: Orchestral Playing
